We are a bunch of chums who love to watch and discuss all things NFL. Our love of the game doesn’t just exist between September and the Superbowl, we find the off-season just as exhilarating and we get a little bit too excited by the draft and free agency.

The main two contributors, myself and James Howell are particularly handsome beard wearers (isn’t everyone these days !!!) the twits part of the name was suggested by someone else but he’s a Browns fan so who’s the real winner.

I guess it’s fairly rare for a group of Brits to take such a strong interest in all elements of the NFL off-season and, as an extension, the college game which gives us a leg up when we’re scouting draft prospects etc.

I have been an NFL fan since the mid-eighties and, for my sins, am a follower of South Florida’s finest team…The Miami Dolphins. I’ve suffered through many playoffless years but I wouldn’t change it for the world. I have a vague memory of the last time Miami went to a Superbowl (1984) but it was the following season that I really got in to the sport and learnt about the players, teams etc.

In my early teens, long before the internet/sky sports, I used to spend Sunday nights with my radio desperately trying to tune in to the armed forces radio network so I could hear commentary of the games and the scores. I rarely had a good reception and it might be hours between mumbles of Miami updates but I loved it.

I lost touch with the NFL slightly during the mid-nineties when I was at University as I didn’t have access to watch it anywhere nor a computer to check scores on the internet. I was also regularly drunk so remembering my own name was difficult enough.

More recently, I’ve really found great joy spending hours and hours scouting draft prospects and I’ve been doing that religiously for around 5-6 years. I don’t profess to be as knowledgeable as some of the experts but I feel I know more than enough now to check off the traits that a player needs at each position and I watch a lot of highlights to get a feel for a prospect which allows me to make my own judgement of their ability to succeed in the NFL.

James is a Giants fan with a Broncos hat and Cardinals jumper. He watches more college football than the rest of us put together and is the most enthusiastic fan I’ve ever met. He’s not about systems and schemes but he knows a good player when he sees one. James loves a bit of controversy in the game and he’s still convinced Jonny Manziel will make a comeback. He just bloody loves the NFL, what can I say.

We’re currently working on our evaluations of all the draft prospects and we’ll be adding our positional top ten’s over the coming weeks. We’ll also be adding a ‘state of the franchise’ look at all 32 teams as well as reactions to the moves made in free agency and everything else up to the start of the 2018 season. We may even dive in to the world of mock drafts.
